We finally got the arena leveled! The entire family is excited and trying to ride after work as much as we can. Dont know if it is the level ground that has made my mule Annie more light? An alternative theory is that I am getting her used to having a long crop hanging from the saddle horn...Ha ha....First time I tried riding with a dressage crop I did not realize she was going to freak out about it, but used it in my hand. Had to give either that one up, or my comfy seat in the saddle!
Since then I have used it from the ground and inactive when riding. Soon we will be graduating to actually using it? Hoping to get rid of my spurs eventually...Lets see how that works!
Cheers
Arena-finally! Nothing fancy though and definitely not drained etc. Will be a fair weather no mud arena only...
Cute little bulldozer worked all day....
Everybody wanted in on the action! The big buckskin is my Annie, in front of her the donkey Sarah. Our 33 year old Sugarbaby in the foreground and Stella is working on trampling down the edge of the arena in the background...
